Ngassa is one of the best and very experienced corporate and commercial lawyers in the country. His practice extends to areas such as Construction Law, Oilfield Services Law, Public Procurement, Oil and Gas Law, Project Development and Finance, Intellectual Property Services, Mergers and Acquisition, Commercial Lending, and Commercial Arbitration. He graduated is graduate of the University of Dar es Salaam (LL.B with Honors - 1992), London School of Economics – University of London (LLM in corporate and commercial law – 1995), and the Free Univerity of Brussels (LLM in international and comparative law- 1996). Ngassa taught corporate and commercial law at the Institute of Finance Management for seven years. Subsequently, he worked as in-house counsel in the World Bank sponsored private sector development project in Tanzania. Ngassa practices and publishes in the area of corporate and commercial law. He is currently working on a book on construction law in Tanzania which is in the advanced stages.
