Alfred Woiso works with LawCastles as a resident consultant and is a co-founder of LawCastles. He was born in Moshi, Tanzania on 06 December 1965. He was admitted to practice law in Tanzania in 1997. Alfred is a graduate of the University of Dar es Salaam (LL.B 1992). He is also a graduate of the University of Indiana, United States (LL.M 1998).
Alfred is one of the recognized experts in the country in the area of general corporate and commercial law. From 1992 to 2000, Alfred worked as a Lecturer in corporate and commercial law at Mzumbe University, Tanzania. Alfred is an active member of Tanganyika Law Society and International Bar Association.
The specific areas of law in which Alfred practices law are secured lending, loan syndication, corporate insolvency, international loans, asset tracing, international debt collection, commercial insurance, employment law, pensions, securities. Alfred is currently on secondment to Co-operative and Rural Development Bank where he is advising and working on various banking matters such as syndicated lending.
